Botulinum injections, also referred to as Botox injections, are a temporary, nonsurgical procedure to relax wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead. This commonly performed and popular minimally invasive procedure uses an FDA approved medication delivered via localized, pinpoint injections.
This procedure is ideal for the patient who would like to reduce "Crows Feet" (Lateral Canthal Wrinkles), Frown lines between eye brows (Glabella), and Forehead Wrinkles (Transverse Forehead Rhytides). The wrinkles that respond best to Botulinum treatment are those that are caused by muscles, such as from frowning or squinting.
There is virtually no downtime after treatment. The effect lasts about four months on average.*
BOTOX® Cosmetic is FDA approved for the temporary treatment of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people ages 18-65.

How to maximize your results from Botox injections
To help promote absorption of Botox® Cosmetic, patients should move the move the muscles injected. The areas injected should not be rubbed, and a hat should not be worn for at least 3 hours. Also, strenuous physical activity must be restricted for those first 3 hours as well.
When will I see the results and how long will they last?
Results start to appear within 36-48 hours. In some patients, this can take up to 5 days. Complete results will be apparent in about 2 weeks from date of service. Results will last between 3-6 months, with most patients getting about 4 months of effect, although for some results last longer. As the BOTOX® Cosmetic wears off, you will gradually see return of the muscle function, and return of the wrinkles. For best results, it is encouraged to repeat BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments before the prior treatment’s effects have completely worn off.
